Bhmadonna - May 2005

The article highlighted on this page was published last year for one of Greece's highest circulating women's magazine. Amongst the people interviewed for the article titled "The Tragic Story of the First Supermodel" were Rob Fay and Sandy Linter. Article highlight is Linter's memory of the first and last time she saw Gia:

 "She must have been nineteen years old, she stood in front of the camera, she commanded the set... I have never seen anyone turning the heat up the way she did... It was like 'Oh my God, that's the first time I've ever seen that!'"

"She came up to my apartment one day after a long time, she looked gorgeous. She was like when I first met her... She sat down on the sofa with me, she put her head on my shoulder and, she started sobbing... And then she just got up... and left ... Now I realize she knew she was ill and she said goodbye to me. It was awful! It was awful! Because I wish there could have been conversation and there was none! She just cried.... I didn't even know she was sick."
